Cupid Strikes NSDS!

Mailing Valentine's Day Cards

We’ve been very busy getting ready for Valentine’s Day here at school.  We spent time making Valentine’s Day cards using lots of tissue paper, glue and a whole lot of love!  We also learned how to address an envelope, where the address is written, where to write the return address and where the stamp goes (and what a stamp is too!)

A Dinosaur and a Paleontologist Walk in to a School . . .

Dinosaur Day!

Our students are natural scientists. Their never ending curiosity leads them to ask us interesting questions all the time, and dinosaurs are one subject that particularly fascinates them. Ice Cream Election 2011

In preparation for Election Day tomorrow, our students participated in the 4th annual “NSDS Ice Cream Election” assembly today.   Supporters for Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry gathered to hear their candidates speak on the issues – following last week’s taste test, there was lots of debate amongst the students!

Many students held up posters they made last week in library class of their favorite ice cream, while our Nursery classes made headbands to show their support for their favorite flavor!  All week long we saw posters around campus, campaigning for all three flavors!
