The Great American BBQ!

It was a BEAUTIFUL spring day at North Shore Day School on Wednesday, May 14th, and it was day that we celebrated our wonderful country! Red, white, and blue day was held in honor of Memorial Day, where kids and teachers came to school decked out in their best patriotic apparel.

Aside from fun Memorial Day crafts, lessons, and projects, classes participated in America’s favorite pastime – baseball! We had a blast learning the rules of the game and good sportsmanship. We also played soccer, which was awesome too.

Our favorite part of the day was the all-American barbecue! The weather was so nice that we got to eat outside and experience the real BBQ feel! Mr. Greg cooked hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob and french fries and it was all so delicious. We had yummy brownies for dessert, and we were definitely full by the end!

For all the parents out there, if you do not already have a Pinterest account, we would definitely recommend getting one! There are some AMAZING holiday craft and lesson ideas, and it’s where many of our teachers get creative ideas.

We hope that all of our North Shore families had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, and we can’t wait to see what next year’s Red, White, and Blue Day brings!!
